What does it do?

Thrush is a fungal infection, commonly caused by a type of yeast called candida. Although candida is naturally present in the body, an imbalance can trigger thrush symptoms. It is used to prevent and treat infections caused by fungus and yeast (including vaginal candidiasis, trichomoniasis, infections of the oral cavity and gingivitis). It may also be used in combination with other medicines to treat yeast infections.

What is fluconazole?

Fluconazole is a prescription medicine used to treat fungal infections such as thrush, ringworm, and systemic candidiasis.

Symptoms of thrush include itching, burning, or white spots on your skin and body, or it may be painful to urinate. Fluconazole may cause your skin to become sensitive to sunlight or ultraviolet light and this may cause your candida (skin fungus) to become resistant to sunlight or ultraviolet light.

Symptoms of systemic candidiasis include:

  • faint vaginal discharge, vaginal itching, vaginal itching, discharge, or discharge

Before taking Fluconazole

This medicine may not be safe or effective if you have had an allergic reaction to this medicine or any of the ingredients in this medicine. Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor if you have:

  • heart, kidney, liver or lung disease;
  • high cholesterol, triglycerides, or fats (such as cholesterol and triglycerides in your blood);
  • a history of stroke, heart attack, blood clots, blood clotting disorders;
  • if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or are breastfeeding;
  • if you have liver problems;
  • if you have blood disorders;
  • if you have kidney problems;
  • if you have low sodium levels in the body;
  • if you have or have a bleeding disorder;
  • if you have or have had a stroke, heart disease, liver disease, diabetes, abnormal heart rhythm, or a history of abnormal heart rhythm, including abnormal heart rhythm that has not been evaluated by the FDA;
  • if you have certain medical conditions, including high blood pressure, a rare hereditary eye disease (such as hereditary retinitis pigmentosa), or a inherited eye disease (such as angioedema);
